The Ocean At The End Of The Lane was a beautiful book.
i just finished it, sitting out on my front porch with the stars spread out above me, and i cried through the last three chapters at least. it wasn’t even that i was sad. it was just overwhelming in a spiritual sort of way, just too close to home.
i made this photo transfer a little over a month ago, based on the story of ophelia. it had nothing to do with this book during any stage of creation. but i walked inside after reading the last page, and it was the first thing i saw, sitting on the table in my entry way.
i think i preemptively made fan art.
i think i might cry some more.
